Duration: About 50 mins

STEPS:

Step 1: Gently cut the hydrangea with scissors to remove the stems and leave the petals for further usage.

Step 2: Apply a little glue to the petals and then gently attach them to the inner wall of the glass bottle.

Step 3: Apply glue to the bottom of the candle wick and stick it to the bottom of the glass bottle.

Step 4: Put the soy wax into a bowl, and then place it on the hot water in order to melt. The boiling point of soy wax is between 45 °C and 55 °C.

Step 5: Pour the melted soy wax into the glass bottle which has glued petals and wick stick to it. Use chopsticks to fix the wick in the middle position and hold them for about 30 minutes. (the room temperature is about 27℃ at the time of making, and it will solidify faster in winter).

Step 6: Cut the excess wick from the solidified candle and keep a little wick above the edge of the bottle.

Step 7: Congratulations! Now you have completed your handmade preserved flower candle. Enjoy it!

Q&A for Making Preserved Flower Candle

Q: What floral materials can be used to make preserved flower candles?

A: The flower materials used in Give Gift Boutique Flower Shop are Japanese imported Hydrangea flowers with vivid color and in high quality. But you can also choose your favorite flowers, such as roses, gypsophila, and matching greens.

Q: Why choose soy wax? What advantages does soy wax has over ordinary wax?

A: soy wax is made from vegetable soybean oil, which is biodegradable and renewable. Compared with ordinary paraffin wax, soy wax is natural, environmentally friendly and pollution-free. It burns more slowly and reduces the production of black smoke.

Tip: Because the burning speed of soybean wax is slower, you can add your favorite essential oil according to your needs. It can release the fresh fragrance of essential oil more gently and achieve the effect of an aromatherapy candle.

Hong Kong flower shop Give Gift Boutique has dozens of different styles of preserved flowers bouquets and boxes, each contains different unique ideas, whether it is for giving gifts or self-use, they can bring you the same surprises.
